About the Game
We grew up in a time when information came to us in a weekly newspaper, thrown onto our porch by a kid riding a bike, complete with a full‑color comics section. Cards and letters from family and friends arrived in our mailbox, delivered by a friendly person walking through the neighborhood. Things were… calmer.
Our Grandma G loved playing this solitaire game, and she taught it to us at the kitchen table. We learned just how much fun it could be — even though winning was a very rare treat. It’s a quiet game of patience and care, meant to be played slowly. There are no warnings, no forced moves, and no rush — just thoughtful decisions and the pleasure of watching the board unfold.
Every win feels earned. Every loss teaches something. It’s a game designed to hone observation and problem‑solving skills, and it kept us captivated for hours. I suspect, now, that was Grandma G’s plan all along.
Years passed. Technology became “a thing,” and spare time grew harder to find. I searched many times, in many places, for a more convenient digital version of this solitaire game, but could never find one. Eventually, I asked Microsoft Copilot to help me create a playable online version — and this is what we came up with. I hope you enjoy it.
